DROP OFF & PICK UP

There is no scheduled Drop Off for the Sacramento territory.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A JBF DROP OFF

Drop Off Steps (Prepare for 1hr to drop off)

Bring your items tagged, prepped (see info below), and sorted by type & size.

STEP 1 - Check in at the Consignor Registration Table
STEP 2 - Bring items to ZONES 1-7 and set up large items (cribs, play pens, furniture items) in Zone 1

Donating Unsold Items?

Thank you so much for your generous donation to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.  You can pickup a donation receipt at Drop Off.

PICK UP is SUNDAY
8:00pm - 9:00pm All Consignors

You will be assigned a JBF Pickup Buddy.  With your JBF Buddy, you will:

  • Find your CHECK-OUT FORM by consignor number.
  • Collect any non-hanging items and check the clothing racks for hanging items.
  • Check the missing/loose tags/rejected items area for your items.
  • Turn in your signed FORM with your JBF Pickup Buddy on your way out.

All remaining items not picked up by 9:00pm will be donated to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

NO TIME? VALET!

Let us prep your items for you for the Roseville & Elk Grove Events!

You earn 40-50% profit, less a $15 Consignor Registration/Supply Fee, the tagger earns 20%! 

  • All items participate in the 1/2 price sale
  • All items will be marked DONATE (a donation receipt will be provided)
  • You need at least 100 items

To SIGN UP for Valet Tagging:

  • Register for the event online.
  • Fill out a Valet Tagging Waiver.
  • We will contact you to confirm your spot and schedule merchandise drop off.
  • Place items in bags or boxes that do not need to be returned.
  • Gather hangers for your clothing items (supply fee covers all other supplies - we can provide hangers $.10 each)

Clothing

  • We sell children's clothing Newborn through children's size 18/20 as well as all maternity sizes.   
  • We do not accept misses or women's clothing.  
  • Please hang clothes so the opening is to the left (like a question mark ? ) QUICK PIC.  
  • JBF sells child size wire hangers 100 hangers for $10.  EMAIL US if you need to purchase hangers. 
  • Onesies, socks, tights, hats and infant mittens need to be in a clear zip-lock bag (you may group multiple items in one bag). 

Price: Pricing is always your choice! Think what would I pay if I were to shop the event. We have PRICING SUGGESTIONS and a FB GROUP for questions and suggestions.

Bags/Infant/Loose Items/Plush

Diaper bags, infant carriers, backpacks, and purses

Nursing covers & pillows, feeding items, monitors, safety items, diapering & toileting items, rattles, and more.

LOOSE ITEMS include infant accessories, girl and boy accessories, and little extras such as bibs, cloth diapers, bottles, feeding bowls and spoons, bows, headbands, socks, safety items, nursing bras, etc QUICK PIC.

We only accept name-brand characters, Build-A-Bears and accessories and any battery operated stuffed/plush toys.  Sorry, no Beanie Babies or generic stuffed/plush toys.

Please inspect all items carefully to make sure items have not been recalled, stained, damaged or are missing pieces.

Price:  Price 50% - 90% off retail. Items in great condition tend to sell very well.

Tag:  Safety pin/tie/ziptie to strap or zipper. Tape to items. Place tag inside zip lock bags to be seen. Visit our FB GROUP for questions and suggestions.

Bedding, Blankets & Textiles

Bedding sizes accepted are bassinet through twin only. Check carefully for stains; shoppers get very disappointed if they find a stain in a bundled blanket once they get home.

Package:  Put bedding/crib/bedroom sets together in original packaging or in giant clear plastic bags.  Bundle blankets, cloths, and towels with ribbon or string like a package (be sure multiple pieces cannot be separated).

Price:  Price to sell! Shoppers are less likely to purchase these items used, so prices have to be low. Try to price 75% - 90% off retail.

Tag:  Safety pin tag to blankets or put in bag to be seen

Books, Games, DVDs, Arts & Crafts

Kids/homeschool/parenting Books, book sets, board games, puzzles, video games, video game systems, scrapbook, arts & crafts sets are great items for resale.   Games and puzzles must have all pieces.  (No "adult" content please.)  

Package:  Use clear, self-seal bags or clear cling wrap (QUICK PIC) to hold multiple items together; Tie sets of books together with ribbon/string (QUICK PIC). Be sure that parts/games to video game systems (such as Vtech) cannot be separated or switched out at the sale. Check out the FB GROUP for suggestions/ideas.

Price:  Price to sell especially for books & DVDs as there are always lots to choose from at the sale.

Tag:  For paper/cardboard boxes use blue painters tape to not ruin the packaging (QUICK PIC). Tape tag so easily seen

Large Equipment

Always check for RECALLS

Make sure it is clean and has all its straps and buckles. Brakes work etc.

Attach tag with tape (QUICK PIC) or zipties

For items with multiple separate pieces, put a tag on EACH piece. Fill out the first tag as normal, including the price, but include " 1 of X", where X is the number of pieces. On all of the other items you can include a hand written index card.  Write your consignor number, the description only, no price on the rest of the tags, and "2 of X", "3 of X" etc.

ONLY put a price on one of the tags! Only use multiple tags for separated pieces; do NOT use multiple tags for items that are attached together

 

Shoes

Make sure that shoes are clean, clean, clean! Shoes must be current season (Fall = October thru March; Spring = April thru October).

Package: Fasten shoes together with zip ties or safety pins or in zip lock bag. We prefer no shoe boxes. (closed boxes do not sell well).

Price: Shoes must be in good condition and should start at $3.00 for infant/toddler; Add $1 each for larger size, name brand, or heavy/winter.

Tag: Safety pin/tie/ziptie tag around strap or through shoe lace hole or inside the zip lock bag

Toys

Ride-on toys, block sets, dolls, remote control cars, outdoor toys, learning toys, and more. All toys must be  checked for safety recalls before consigning.  Clean all toys and baby equipment thoroughly.  Please test to make sure that toys and equipment are working properly. Battery operated toys must include working batteries (these can be purchased inexpensively at local discount stores).

Package:  Keeping tags and multiple items attached is essential for your items to sell. Bag all small parts belonging to toys/equipment in self-seal bags (QUICK PIC). Fasten the bag securely to the item with ribbon, tape, or zip ties. Items must include ALL working parts. Check out our FB GROUP page for ideas

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

Turn JBF into a fundraiser for your school, troop or moms group.  Gather donated itmes from students, friends and/or other families OR go shopping at garage sales and thrift stores. Register and tag under ONE consignor number and get check 2 weeks after each event!  You can tag the items for a higher profit or send donated items through VALET TAGGING and we can tag the items for you.

JBF ON DEMAND

Sometimes you need the CASH.  Sometimes you need the SPACE. 

Now you can sell ANYTIME with JBF ON Demand! We purchase at garage sale prices ($0.25 per piece for clothes, books, blankets, etc. Toys and equipment will vary based on brand and condition) You will have the potential of earning more money by participating as a consignor or valet tagging but if you need CASH NOW we are always buying and we buy it all (no stains rips holes etc.)

PERFECT CONSIGNORS

We appreciate those consignors who spend the extra time at home ensuring that their items are stain free and tagged correctly and want to reward them for their hard work!

If you have less than three stained, damaged, or unacceptable items pulled at drop off or during the sale (and zero recalled items), you will be added to a list which allows you to skip inspection during drop off at the next sale. This saves you lots of time at Drop Off!

REMEMBER: Perfect Consignor status is earned each sale. Spend extra time inspecting items at home so that you earn perfect status for the next sale!
